Nice shot.

But with respect, not that it matters at all with regard to the shot, she is a pretty old doe. Look at the belly line, and the cutaway hindquarters.

Given the lens - nice to have been so close. They are such fun, roe deer.

Thanks for the info MGJ I don't know much about deer other than bambi and that other group that pull the old fat guy around at xmas.

Well talking of Bambi - chances are she has a fawn or 3 in that area, because roe are so territorial. Its possibly why she didn't run immediately.

So you may well get another photo -opportunity there, if you don't hassle her too much, keep downwind, and sit back and watch. From that POV, the balance of advantage has shifted to you.

Worth a try if it interests you.
