land of giants

By AlexandraSD
I noticed these small trees a week or two ago, decided to go back today and see what i could capture, this is one of the results from today.

I was hoping for a sunset but the cloud was too thick on the horizon, which was a shame, but i thought i would give this scene the minimal treatment, i think it works.

I agree it would look nice with a sunset but you have made a superb image with what you had available at the time. Sometimes nature helps with the added symmetry.

Bold composition works well. Have you tried it in mono?

Gosh thank you one and all, and Colleen, really? Very kind of you to say that Smile

I have to admit, now i have seen it a few times, it has grown on me, and most who have seen it believe those trees are extremely tall when really they were only a few feet high, i had to get down low to gain this perspective, but it worked, i can see that now, maybe the sunset or the perfect blue sky would have detracted from the trees themselves, their definitely strong enough to stand out on their own i think.

Anyway, many thanks, i will now have to sort one out for tomorrows upload Wink
