changes to my websites

1 Dec 2015 12:41PM   Views : 529 Unique : 352

After 5 years of having thegirlwitin.co.uk online, i am having to close it down for good at the end of december.

thegirlwithin.co.uk is my transgender website, however as time has moved on, i realize that i am less transgender and more me, what i mean by that is, although i identify as transgender, there is much more to me than that, a lot more. Not only this but the server my websites are hosted on is not the best in the world. Websites have moved on significantly since html5, yet the webbuilder we are provided with is so basic that it makes the site look a bit dated.

But it is not all bad news, because alexandrastarr.co.uk will still be available, bolder, brighter, bigger, and better than before... much better in fact.

alexandrastarr.co.uk is my photography site and its been live only for a few months, and it was ok for a while but after visiting so many other photogrsphy websites i realized that mine looked very basic, and a little bit dull. I have now moved the domain to another host, squarespace, who i feel offer a more competitive and feature packed alternative, giving my website a much needed kick up the proverbial backside! Before i had galleries for wildlife, glamour, London, fungi... Now i will only have two galleries, one for my self portraits, oh yeah, thats obvious init Wink
and another one for everything else, where literally anything could be added.

Makes perfect sense to me Grin

The new look website is not finished yet, there will be much more added, and when i finally finish my ebook properly you will be able to view the full sized PDF of my ebook directly from a dedicated url, for example alexandrastarr.co.uk/free-ebook will link directly to the pdf.

Let me know what you think of it, i think it looks amazing right now but i need to add more varied images to the headers of each page, something i will have to work on to produce over the coming weeks if i get the time.
