I should be reviewing this event but for one major factor...

I didnt go....

I was all set to go, i got my pass 3 weeks ago and was looking forward to spending some time in like minded company while browsing the latest gadgets and stalls. The plan was to arrive on tuesday for my gig, then stay in the hotel overnight for focus the next day in nearby Birmingham, i was in wolverhampton so not far away at all.

Of course, the night before i went away, being the monday, meant that was the night i packed my bags ready to leave on tuesday at 12pm, and i got everything ready, everything except my pass for focus, it dawned on me while i was driving along the m6 when i saw signs for the NEC.

Doh....

It was then i remembered i was going to focus. Though in the week prior to this i didnt feel at all well and saw thinking of not going to the nec at all. But by tuesday i felt moderately better and decided i would go anyway, and id pay to get in seeing as i forgot my pass.

So i get to the hotel, check in, get ready, go out to the gig, come back all a fluster, high as a kite on nothing more than excitement and some blue alchopop, sleep, wake up still buzzing from seeing my fav band, head just full of fluffy things, complete scatter-brained! I checked out completely forgetting about the nec and focus, it totally escaped my mind, not even the signs on the way back down the m6 for the nec reminded me, i was too busy reminiscing about the night before.

It wasn't until i arrived home and came on epz that i realized id completely forgotten the nec bit, i could barely remember my name at one point so its no shock i forgot about focus.

I was a bit annoyed with myself but not too annoyed, id had the best night of my life anyway so missing focus wasn't really a big deal, still, i would have liked to have gone, perhaps next year.

Anyway, im hoping some of you have reviewed the event here, will look once i publish this entry.

One minute you're all sensible and sassy and the next you're as ditsy as a doughnut.
You write so well. Luv your stories.

Sensible? Prove it Tongue

It was just like having a blonde moment which lasted 24 hours, not once did it enter my brain while i was at the hotel probably because i didnt sit still until i climbed into bed and then my mind was on the music and experience i had just had, and hoping id get up by 8 to head home by 11, which i did, you would think that being next to birmingham would be enough of a reminder but no, not at all. the nec may as well had been right next door (practically bloody was) and i still would have forgotten/missed it Blush

Thank you, i enjoy writing now and then, always have, though now everyone can read it, unlike my handwriting Grin
