My latest camera...

At the weekend I decided to treat myself to a new camera, well, a new second hand camera. The Fujifilm X-E2!
Bought from Wex in Norwich obviously, where else would a Norfolk girl go to get her camera's?
Initial impressions on the x-e2 are favourable indeed, what a sublime little camera, and to think i have fooled myself all this time thinking my fuji x-a2 was enough! It wasn't! Despite being billed as a selfie camera, the x-a2 lacks in the self portrait department by a couple of stops at least! The difference between a selfie and a self portrait is like chalk and cheese, so it is with the x-a2 and the x-e2,
The x-a2 does not offer tethered shooting, i cannot link it up to my smartphone and shoot remotely, despite the camera having wifi which allows me to send photos from camera to phone through the fuji app, i could not shoot remotely with it, though the x-e2 this is not an issue! While the app has crashed a couple of times, its not a bad app but does need improving upon i feel, more control over WB for starters, and the ability to zoom in for focusing would be nice too but minor points.
Then there is the built in interval timer, together with the x-e2's superb focusing abilities, the continuous focus kicks the fuji x-a2's focusing to the ground! Self portraits are much easier now!
So how foolish was i to think the x-a2 could be as good as the x-e2? They do not compare and are different classes of camera entirely! And i have only owned the camera since saturday but already i can see it is superior in so many ways. The image quality... gorgeous, so so gorgeous, specially with that fuji 35mm lens on it, the f2 one, bloody gorgeous!
I am on an entry level accounting course this week so i have been unable to do to much with the camera, though yesterday evening i took the dog for a walk with me, and the x-e2, and took a couple of self portraits, the weekend was spent shooting family as it was my dads birthday, but within the next month or so ill be using the new camera a lot. I visit Somerset for a week in a few weeks time, staying in the pretty village of Dunster at a rather splendid Bed and breakfast! Oh the possibilities for images that week will make my head spin
I am still working in the shop...
And the cafe...
And i am also using my new smartphone camera an awful lot, mostly for the long walks with the sheepdog,
It is a Huawei Y6II smartphone, so much nicer than my old iphone 4s, the camera is not too bad on it, and it is handy to have a good camera on a phone because i tweet so much and now doing the instagram thing as well, the images are not that bad really!
Today i have a day off from the course, doing nothing but planning where to take some photos later on this evening, ill probably head to a beach somewhere
