How to get a wet bum

By AlexandraSD
Just go outside in the pouring rain in a thin short skirt and sit on a wet step whilst doing a self portrait at stupid'o'clock in the morning!

or not...

This self portrait took three attempts on three consecutively wet nights, first 2 attempts using a 16mm wide angle, far too wide, too much distortion. So i went for the trusty 35mm f2, and booooOm, it worked a treat, even managed to capture some rain droplets.

Definitely, but if only i had one more light stand with me, and another light to go way up high right at the back out of shot looking at the camera, it would have caught every raindrop that fell, still, very happy with this, vast improvement on previous attempts!

The artist suffering for their art...
You should be careful, sitting on cold, wet concrete can cause piles!Wink

Considered this already, i now have a thin chair cushion for such times in my car, in black, hopefully no one will ever see it Smile

for someone who always runs to the car if it is raining to avoid getting wet, i did well to tolerate the downpour, but it was well worth it i think. Ill return to this location again one day in a new outfit and hopefully better lighting!

Scrimshires passage in wisbech, still looks the same as when i was a kid, there is a small shop that repairs old tellys, and i do mean OLD TELLYS! also a bridal shop down there, been there for donkeys years. Wanted to capture this passage for a while but never really knew how until now!
