So living in Lincolnshire does have some benefits - lack of light pollution for one.

Where i was positioned between the rivers nene and welland, overlooking the wash, with lincolnshire to my left and norfolk to my right, looking out to sea the first land mass next is Norway, so yeah, quite clear skies, the northern lights can often be seen here and on the north norfolk coast, only ever seen a green slither once though, that was near Blakeney point!
The only reason i stopped at the guards hut again was because i didnt want him thinking some nutter is messing around on the docks when a ship was in port, but his face when i returned and showed him the image was priceless, i think i made his quiet night a bit more interesting!
