Jackdaw takes on baby Rook

This baby rook has just been told by it's parents to get its own food and leave them alone. The jackdaw thinks it's a perfect opportunity to test the rook, although it wouldn't be quite as bold with the rook's parents! Luckily for the rook, it stood up to the jackdaw and held it's ground, but that didn't stop the jackdaw from swooping in several times just to make sure!

I'd like to say thank you so much to everyone who voted/commented and/or awarded me their UA on my last upload. It did far better than I thought it would. I wonder if anybody else has the same experience as me? I often post a photo that I think is absolutely brilliant on here and it doesn't do too well, then I'll upload something that I'm not as sure about and it takes off. It always surprises me and also makes me realise how differently we all see the world, and also that our photography is so very subjective as only we know why we cherish one shot over another.
