Right time, right place

After spending the whole day sitting quietly in the undergrowth, I was rewarded when this little guy landed in the perfect spot and allowed me to grab a few shots of him. I know it's only a bird on a stick but I felt it was a real achievement in the circumstances.
I'm not sure about his identity as I don't have any books on Nicaraguan birds, but i was delighted to see him!!

PS. After Googling, it may be a Peucaea, also known as Cassin's sparrow.

Thanks so much for checking... definitely a finch of some sort. I'm not sure why it is still so hard to id birds on the internet!!
