He looks like a bit of a bruiser, but I bet he's a big softie.Wink

He is and he isn't Malc , he was in RSPCA kennels for quite a long time. He is a big softie with us at home, but is very protective when out with my wife and has to be muzzled as he will bite. He does not like people much due to his and his brothers treatment, they were kept in a cage outside with no cover and mal treated, so much so that the RSPCA inspector removed them from the property on first visit (rare).

Poor Axel. So glad he found good people to look after him. Hope to see lots more photos.
I do a little bit of volunteer walking for a rescue. I know some of the stories. Basically, useless, uneducated people buying dogs, because they can and then either not putting in the effort and actually teaching them basic rules or they get bored.... or worse! There is no end of gorgeous dogs at our rescue that have been taken from the vets in their final moments. It really is their last chance. We can't save them all. Then they have to learn to be a dog again!! I might post something tomorrow about my rescue work. I only take phone pics there tho. Apparently I'm more useful, walking ha ha!!!

He's a handsome devil Alfie.
And the fact that he was rescued makes his story so much better.
Well done.
