Likely the most recognized car in the world. I had one once - no heater, no gas gauge, If you floored it going down hill. you could likely reach the top of the next hill and still be doing 20mph. They were made eventually in Brazil and every second car in Peru was a VW beetle. Excellent capture of this gold one.

This is quite a tricked out bug....the the car many of us learned to drive in....or at least, learned to drive stick. I think this is (or its bones) pre 1968...the best looking Bugs. A pretty minimal rear bumper...and from the squeezed rear, a souped up engine (judging by what we can see of the back end). And that beautiful gold!!! And, yeah, if you were in the cold....too bad. Going down a snowy hill, you had to stay on the accelerator, or the back end might threaten to become the front. A love/hate relationship for many.
