sunset angels

By alfpics
Taken in August from north coast of Ardnamurchan, at Polruaik (I think!) My younger daughter on seeing the picture immediately said, 'Angels!'

Singing angels, I think, with upraised arms/wings/whatevers ... I think the horizon's on a slight tilt to the left, but it's a minor point. Gorgeous.

Thanks Tanya,
You are right about the horizon! Camera was handheld and its one of those things I have done on many occasions in the past and didn't notice until I got the pictures returned.

Food for the senses, great shot. Heaven knows how you got this hand held, well done.
The sloping horizon is easily fixed and on my editor it has an additional bonus of taking out the rock at the base which enhances composition. Probably matterless, it's such a striking scene only another photographer would moan. Your daughter shows good taste! Emotive reaction is great feedback and young kids are basicaly honest.

I've looked at skies like this when I didn't have a camera...this is super, but I do agree about the horizon!

Thanks for your kind comment, Phil. I think this one was posted before the 'clicks' were instigated!
