I'm back guys! Officially started my second year yesterday... But its harder choice wise as the options are wide open to what I want to study and create, no guide lines like last year.

I'll start with photography as that's going to be the easiest to explain. This year on the marking scheme the part I struggled with in as is only 40% of the marks where as the part I excel at is 60% is in my favour. The exam part is thr same except we get 15 hours to work in the dark room instead of five. However the course work is left open for us to choose our own topics to do and I am really struggling to come up with ideas I could do, like last I did through thr looming glass and chumming but now given I can do anything ita hard to pick and think because there is too much choice. So any ideas would be greatly welcomed.

This year we are going to learn about pin hole photography, then move onto advanced digital photography, but also the history of photography so anyone interested in those areas might be wise to read my blog from time to time. My final hand in date is march 15th 2014 so quite a long way away.

Ah media the joy of joys, this year I have to study print media e.g. Magazines or newspapers. And have to investigate into either the genre, narrative or representation of certain things within them. So also struggling on what to do there and have to have decided by 5th July 2013. As we then have to wrote a 1800 word essay of research into the title I've created and then for the actual course work produce something to do with the title within print media e.g. I could do how photographers are represented with technology magazines bit I think that's not quite what my teachers looking for more something like how the female gender is represented in magazines such as vogue and condo. So I could then create images of what we see in real life and what the camera and producer want you to see the female gender as. After that doing the research and production its 750 word essay then an exam two and half hours long but no extract to what just three essays to write from 6 questions.

Ict is pretty much the same as last year more coursework based though and just advanced stuff, different teacher though Sad I liked this teacher he was cool.

Anyway guys im off to lesson suggestions for project titles for media and photography would be be helpful! Blog soon!

It's always hard to make suggestions to others - the more so if you don't know them!

In general, it's probably a good idea either to go for a topic or topics that interest yo uas much as photography (so another hobby, or something a close friend or family member is into: live music, say, or Sunday football), or something that you know nothing about but would like to explore (or would feel challenged by) say, professional wrestling, or the local old people's home!

Draw up a list of possibilities, and look at it a couple of times a day: add to it and cross thigns off.

It may take a week or two, but the last thing you want is to be trapped by a hasty judgment.
