The Blog of an Alevel Photography Student Part 47

Im getting bit more consistence at this blogging... but its hard with not much course news.

So I spoke to my personally tutor who confirmed my photography lecture isn't ill and is off because of college matters. But should be back in September which he better be... was a good teacher. So in the mean while I have been doing artist and fellow photographer research for my movement coursework, I came across Bob Martin pretty famous sports photographer though analysing his images without any background knowledge on them was quite hard, unlike carl rosedahl on Flickr who's work included all about the processes of his images. Though I've never really thought of using twitter.
I collected film photographs from the photo place in town Timpsons printer brand, considering film is suppose to still be cheaper than digital it cost 6.00 for 25 6x4 film and then online on snapfish for 100 digital 6.4 it cost me 6.00 too so how does that work am I being ripped off or something? Though the images of the boyfriends family present giving day ( JW don't celebrate birthdays so its called "present giving day") turned out good, film is always going to produce the better results I have decided.

Last day of college today been sat in this library for 3 hours waiting for my next media lesson at 3 its not 2 and I've been in here since 11.50am sigh... but its better than listening to my tutors bang on about personal statements an uni, which I've decided not to go to.

Anyway better revise for my theory blog soon!

There can be times when film doesn't give a good result - where a lab tries to stretch chemicals too far to keep costs down, or profits up...

6 for 25 prints isn't bad, I think. Jessops are probably still around 7 or 8 for a 36 exposure film, including a replacement film. You're certainly not getting ripped off if you are getting quality results.
