The Blog of an Alevel Photography Student Part 76!
16 Jan 2014 12:05PM Views : 1133 Unique : 800Driving Test Passed! Yellow Volkswagen Fox bought! Happy Alice!!! Also means i have much more free time to blog to you lovely people. Think last year I've must have spent so many hours either waiting for bus or being on a bus.
Anyways photography a level work! i have some up to date photographs, i have nearly finished my 3rd set of photographs for my movement coursework! I found during my first set and second set that digital for object movements worked fine and carried that through to my second set i then decided to explore film using human movements, however that didn't quite hit the nail on the head just didn't feel happy with the results so i have chose for my 3rd set of photographs decided to do it in reverse, e.g. film photograph subjects will be objects and digital photograph subjects will be humans with in return with the digital i can create a layered shot of the individual movement of the subject, like some of the artist i researched have done.
This is one of my first digital photographs for my set three of photographs, i used cs6 to edited it and think it has worked quite effectively, i am yet to edited my other digital photographs.
This is one of my film photographs for set 3, i chose to use a mid iso black and white film of 400 (hp5), i then also used a tripod and torch to get the correct lighting and composition. When developing i developed this photograph with no filter as it didn't really need it just instead 12 seconds of light, i also chose to use rc paper rather than fibre paper as it is easier and quicker to dry for photographs that are just going in my sketch book. For my final pieces i might try fibre based paper as the detail i find is higher quality.
Similar photograph and same process as the last one just different movement being shown
this photograph didn't work out so well, i exposed it to 16 seconds of light but i think the negative itself is slightly over exposed, though it would be interesting to see if i used a dark contrast filter on the enlarger to see if that would make any different.
Our new lecture for this year ( don't like her very much, no offence to art teachers but teaching photography and art are very different things and she is very much an art teacher). She keeps going on about this 1500 essay which we haven't started writing or planning? Well last year for those who read my blog at the end we wrote and evaluation of our projects, this is what i am assuming is the "essay" she is on about, however i can't plan or start writing some thing that i haven't finished, yet i think she's just read in the marking scheme that there has to be a piece of 1500 bout our projects. Well I've looked the mark scheme and thats all i can see. Luckily we have till feb 14 to finished our projects and I'm heading to the deadline on time.
Ill try blog again when I've finished editing my digital photographs
