Time Tunnel

By AlleyCatz
Good Morning....

Might be dark and dank....but wish I had access to one...

Where would you go and what time period?....and who would you like to see?
Questions with a million answers I guess

I find it a very interesting question. We will see if any one reads this and has their own answers....make it easier....only two places, two time periods and two people to visit Smile

Thanks for stopping by

C&C welcome

I know this image is dark.....and will need a large view....I did not want to lighten it....as it is in a dark tunnel and wanted to try and capture the feel of that....thanks Smile

Absolutely stunning shot! I initially thought it looked a little too dark, but viewing the larger image it's clear the lighting is perfect for the subject. The colours and detail are superb.

The darkness suits the image and your concept.
I have often wondered what it would have been like in Anglo Saxon times..so perfectly portrayed in Bernard Cornwell novels.Visions of being a soldier in the Sheild Wall and the anticipation of battle.I am strange like that.
I suppose I would like to go back there but only for a look.

To answer your question: I'd like to visit Henry VIII in court and secondly - King Arthur and Avalon, if it ever existed?

This is such a well done image. I would go back to sit with my grandparents in front of their wonderful old wood stove first of all. Then if I were allowed two times, I would love to see America before the turn of the century and take a cross country trip on an old train.

A tremendous shot.....wonderful processing and the light works perfectly. I don't have any desire to go back in time, there were some fantastic memories for me and would want to leave them like that. But if it was something beyond my time, I guess I would have liked to have met Bruce Lee.........lol! I know, all those possibilities and I pick that......lol!

Beautiful image; very stimulating, having been down a working mine in the 60s and subsequently at the Wakefield Mining Museum.

I would go back to meet Boudica and Celtish ancestors before the Romans got at 'em. Manda Scott's portrayal of her and her times fascinates me.

I recognised the guy as being from the BCM straight away Alley. Cos I was standing behind you snapping away as you took his pic.

The manipulation is seriously impressive, this coming from someone who niggles for England. What impresses me most is the way that you've "sat" the gent into the scene so that he belongs there .... you've got the lighting spot on.

Would'nt it be fun to have the 18:32 from Coventry to Birmingham New Street coming down that tunnel though, and he's looking at his watch and thinking "It's 18:36 and my sodding train is late again".

You set a difficult question as to time travel in restricting it to only two places and time periods. Under those terms I would'nt go backwards as there's far far too many people and places from times gone by that I'd love to meet.

So I'm going forward, first to meet the last human being alive just before he or she expires .... I will of course apologise for the almighty mess we've made of the world.

Second I want to go forward 5 billion years or so and watch as the sun runs out of fuel and in it's death throes expands into a red giant engulfing the earth in a fireball. And that will be that for the earth, it's history and all the countless billions and billions of people to whom the earth was home.
