A follow-up to yesterday's image.
I can't recall the number of times I've dropped what I'm doing to search the sky, when the distictive sound of those Rolls Royce engines is heard. It was an extemely lucky day for me to have a chance drop in to the CWH faciltiy and observe this beautiful machine being prepared for take-off.

Wonderful shot of a wonderful old kite!
(Like the way you've captured the puff of smoke from the outboard engine as it is started up).
Click.

Where was this taken? Its nice to see the Lancaster firing up.
I thought the only air-worthy one was the City of Lincoln in the BBMF?
My Grandad flew these in the war so I'm always interested in there current activity.

Thanks George, Alan and Jim for your comments.
Jim, this shot was taken at Hamilton (Mount Hope Airport), Canada. I understand that there are only two left flying, this one and the one with the BBMF.
Mount Hope, is the home base for the Canadian Warplane Heritage. They have a web site; www.warplane.com, if you'd like to have a look...beautiful facility, great people!
