A rural slice of fall. Very nicely done. Mono barns accentuate the colour.TG

There's a story for this location. At one point, this what what we would call a hobby farm where an Executive raised prize cattle as a hobby so money and infrastructure appeared to be no object...I guess in hindsight, he did work for a meat packer. Anyway, when he left this world, he bequeathed his agricultural holdings to the local conservation authority. I don't think they really know what to do with it except let people go there to walk. The one thing they do is paint all of the foundations and outbuildings (nothing open for the public) with a stark white-wash yet they leave the barn boards as original. Probably only budgeted for one colour lol. With the damp, dull day, the barn boards looked really stark against the orange leaves so I was thankful for the lack of paint. Small note, the Pacino movie "The Recruit" shot the farm scenes here.
