I know noticed there where a few signs dotted around the place with the one odd spelling wrong , I think they were doing it deliberately Smile

Yes, I agree that the treatment given to V.1 really suits the period that the image is set in.
I haven't seen the old spelling of word "shewn" for many a moon but it was probably much more common in the 1940s. Andy

apparently its an old-fashioned variant spelling of show but I'm not sure
