High up on the fells

By amandaleeds
This was taken on a cold windy Easter day up on the Coniston fells in the Lake District. These runners were completing the grueling Long Duddon fell race-18 miles with 2000m of climbing. It is an unmarked course and runners are required to have the ability to navigate in poor visibility, experience of moving quickly on steep technical fell terrain and must be prepared for emergency situations, carrying spare clothing, waterproofs and food and water.
