I'm not going to critique this. You started with a blank page ( old man excepted ), and all I can say, is respect.

Well done, the sloping horizon works v.well.

Not at all no secrets in there, at start I was just trying to make a realistic window-blind pattern again for practice. It didn't gave me any nice result (well not as I was hoping to see). I then duplicate the layer and tilted up change the blend and got some basic image of horizan so I continue to refine it with different color tones, I then tried to give a river/sea/water kinda effect with brush strokes then flat them so u can see the impect there and it also expose the sky more as I feel it.. white and dark shades to create illusion of depth.. then big spot stroks of big round brush for giving sun-like effect and with blur and layer blends got this result.. finally adding the subject in place and applying Hue settings on different layers to set the subject oldman with environmnet. it was all like that. Color, brush, eraser, blend, hue/saturation.

I enjoy the off beat image Munir and this one I find is just my cup of teaSmile I am surprised it's received so few comments but that's perhaps because others haven't stumbled on it.
Full marks!

Thanks Leo, It is my favorite work too yes because of the colors and balancing over all and the theme comes out. I will not say I made it like this, but honestly it comes out like it itself Smile Glad you like it
