Upper Pond, Burnham Beeches, Infra-Red

This image combines several techniques I have been using for a while, HDR Photography and Infra-Red. Using a Hoya R72 filter on my DS I captured a 3 shot bracket, then used Photomatix Pro and CS3 for the post-processing.

Taken back in the summer when we had more sun (and IR!)

HDR bracket @ F11 @ ISO200 @18mm

Wow, that is so stunning! I love the dark skies and the dark water. I cannot believe that on-one else has commented on this photo. Magnificent!

Just thinking about getting an IR filter, so interested to see effects like this.
