Sue, this is stunning. When you read the books - you absolutely must! - this looks like Gwaihir and the eagles bringing Sam and Frodo back from Mordor. And what a great quote! There are so many in the book that go right into your soul.

Stunning image Sue, having read the books and seen the films, IMHO I think this is very apt. It leaves you to imagine the hobbits etc, which is something I always thought was great about the books. now when I think about LOTR's I see images from the films, and not my original imagined images.

I like this a lot, ( as you may have gathered Smile )

Stunning image. Wonderful quote too. I have to confess, I - a dedicated reader - gave up on reading Tolkein after several attempts. My son, however, has read and re-read his works again and again, so clearly I may be the odd one out!

Lovely tribute Sue. Super tones and movement in the field. I think that its Gwahir approaching and not the Nazgul but would I risk a closer look ???

Not a tolkien approaching this from a photo only shot...stunning colours...stings feilds of barley come to mind...would lose the top bird section and the vinigar netting touch at the top..then put it on my wall............................................................travelled a long distance young lady..and I will havce a season ticket! Your progression over the time I have been looking is(apart from a few hiccups)always upward you should give yourself a pat on the back..x

took ages to decide you or eviscera who would get it,and that was after throwing out three other brilliant why did I chose this (after all I did not think it was perfect)...well if I shut my eyes and think of the photo, the barley stuff flows in the breeze, the sunlight that is left warms the heart and the mind,it says beauty and love not pain and has a spirit that flows from it and reaches there you go paying my therapist all that money worked..killed my photography but my mind is in a nice place...peaace and love !
