Know the area well and like the concept. However I find it difficult on what to focus on: is it a landscape, seascape, or a shot of light trails. A panoramic wider crop could improve the image.

An interesting shot showing the fragility of life on the coast. The juxtaposition of the waves, the coastal defences and the cosy homes is good but, like Michael, I find it difficult to know what to focus on.

The problem for me is that your exposure wasn't quite long enough and the light trails are not long enough to bind the two parts of the image together. Instead, they become a distraction, demanding attention. It's easy to say this now, of course, but I think it would have been better to either time your shot so that a single car's descent of the hill is covered, top to bottm, or to have been more patient and waited for a car-free period.

Thank you for the comments. On reflection I think a figure standing by the sea wall would have improved the composition, adding a sense of scale and acting as a point of focus for the whole comp.
