Thanks Moria, for your comments. Much obliged.

I had a go once with an ND exposing for a couple of seconds shooting the sea splashing up at Dawlish before the recent storms, but nothing like using the 10-stop exposing for 30 seconds. I take your point re moving objects across the screen vs. front to back. Iíve still to process an image with vehicles and people crossing a bridge, be interesting to see...

Hadn't thought about the yellow buoys in the image, could be worth a go without.

    Thanks again,

Love the detail in the bird and its perch

Had a play with the HDR and an original slide. One lesson learnt, keep copies as you go as inevitably you go too far and start 'trying to unwind' changes and the whole image begins to fall apart. Oh, and be prepared to spend time in front of the screen!

    Thanks for the critique.

I like image 3 - was up above Derwent the same day and have still to process my shots of the cloud rolling over the moors and into the valley over Ladybower, etc.

  • Odd One Out

Such a simple shot, yet brilliant with the lighting and black background - will have a go myself at something similar. Thank you

  • I love capturing shots of birds, but I can see I've some way still to go. I guess much time in the hide is needed to cature such brilliant pictures? Thanks for sharing some superb shots and showing us all what can be achieved!
