Ghost of the Machine

By andrewrobson
I was having a coffee in a restaurant and happened to have my camera with me. I thought I'd try catch the waiter moving through the restaurant like a ghost, counterpointing his fleetingness with the stillness of those seated and eating.

Unfortunately I did not have my tripod with me and couldn't use the flash for the shot I wanted, so had to go handheld!

Being hand held has had a softening effect that work well in this image. Nice candid shot.
