Think this is very strong. like the composition (allthough I think you could crop a bit more of the bottom to get a stronger panoramic effect). the open windows and doors (and roof lol) enhances the feeling of the vastness of the landscape around the house and particularly like the hanging-out-of-the-door-pose.

nice candid...think a tighter crop (excl the boy?) would produce a stronger image (imho)

Very intriguing setting and good composition. I'd like to see more like this - I like it a lot.

Very intuiging this one, the story is waiting to be told and I bet it is a captivating one. Would look superb in large print. Son't crop. Candids should remain as they are. Regards, Bert

Thanks for the comments. I thought long and hard about cropping, but decided against it in the end for the very reasons Bert gave. It is best viewed really large, as one gets the feeling you're in the building with the mother and son, an effect lost the smaller the pic. And because of the candid nature of the pic.
But like I said, thanks for all the comments.

this is great as it is, yes, it's like you're inside but in the huge landscape too, very odd feeling! and very good candid!

A very strong image which ignores the bounds of photography and speaks for itself as an image in its own right....(written after four or five glasses of whiskey but none the less spoken from the heart)
Love it

This is really nice! I like the colours, perspective and the criss-crosses. Very well done for a candid shot!!
