Making the jump! Amateur to slightly better-teur

Hello,

I decided to do my first ever blog post HUZZAH!

I recently (the last 2 years or so ) decided to make the jump from shooting for myself, to uploading my images to Flickr and Ephotozine, 500px and so on. Why did I do this? Well, photography has been a major part of me all my life since first picking up an instant film camera when I was 6, well over 15 years ago. I have always had a camera with me ever since and photographed whatever caught my eye.

I Decided to share the images I captured with friends, family and whoever else wanted to see them, and what better way than making a Facebook page, signing up to Ephotozine and Flickr.
One reason was to show off my personal favourite images, and another was to get feedback and advice to help me improve.

Ephotozine has been the go to place for advice and the odd, miserable old fella who is annoyed that some young yob is trying to take their business away from them

Anyway, I digress.

I feel I have improved vastly in the last year thanks to the nice members on here and other things.
I hope I can keep going and maybe take my photography further in the future.
