XT2 and new lens

Hello all.

Haven't done a blog in a little while, I've had the worst month of my life recently so photography hasn't been top of the list.
Anyway, I recently picked up an XT2 as an upgrade from the XT1. The XT1 has taken a back seat as a backup/second unit for sports and wedding events I shoot.
So far, the extra megapixels of the XT2 have proven a huge positive. I don't often crop, but knowing that the images out of the XT2 can be cropped is a nice safety net. The dual card slot is also a incredible plus for this camera! I have set it to backup the images to slot 2 for my wedding shoots.
I haven't had much chance to get out and use the XT2 yet, but here is an image I made at the weekend. I was with an Instagrammer's meet up at Coate water, and we were tasked with making a unique image of Swindons most photographed structure. This is my attempt...

The camera itself feels just like the XT1, everything I familiar, like bumping into an old friend. The menu is improved, and much more intuitive, and don't get me started on the focus select toggle! WOW!

Anywho, just wanted to say that I have added the 23mm f2 to my lens line up. I have the 35mm f2 and its an amazing lens, but, there have been times I wanted that extra width. Sure, take a few steps back, but that hasn't always been possible. My intention is to eventually replace my 18-55 f2-4 R with the 23mm f2 (owned), 35mm f2 (owned) and the 50mm f2 (yet to own). With the 16mm for landscapes and a 50-140 for weddings, wildlife and sports.

I will be travelling to the Brecon Beacons again soon, and the Lake District. Of course, I will be vlogging it for my YT channel, that many of here have shown support towards (THANK YOU!!!)

in the meantime, everyone likes an unboxing video, so here is the 23mm f2 unboxing Smile
