Buttermere from Rannerdale Knotts

By Andysnapper

Back up the hills today and a shot from Rannerdale Knotts looking down Buttermere. Rannerdale knots is only a small hill (1165 feet) but its situation gives great views along Buttermere and Crummock Water. Although it was a fairly cloudy day, and extremely windy, the clouds broke occasionally and as here, the Sun lit up patches of land.
The other side of Rannerdale Knotts is the Rannerdale Valley, known as the secret valley, which is covered in bluebells interspersed with yellow gorse, a lovely spot.
This was shot on my new (yes another new one) Yashica 12 TLR camera, which is a rather nice bit of kit.

Thanks for looking.

There's lot of well known fells in twos shot, with your high vantage point a helping that direction.
The gloomy weather makes for a duller image but you have exposed it well given those conditions.

I love your chosen point of view and capture capturing both the beauty and the drama in the overhanging sky. Great image.
