Great Gable

By Andysnapper
Morning,

Wednesday already....... doesn't time fly.

So another shot from the Lakes and another on film. This is Great Gable, a t 2949 feet not quite an official mountain but very close. GG stands looking down Wasdale in the very heart of the Lake District mountains. It is linked by the high pass of Windy Gap to its smaller sister hill, Green Gable, and by the lower pass of Beck Head to its western neighbour, Kirk Fell. I have climbed it, a long, long time ago, and it looks like I might be doing so again this year as She Who Must Be Obeyed has decreed it will be so. Grin
Thanks for looking and for yesterday's v's an c's. Special thanks to Sue, Kathryn and Netta for their user awards, much appreciated.

Andy

Lovely mountain shot but it is the Herdwick sheep that really grab my attention.
