  • Decay

Quote:from the running potato man bottom right, to the mouse hole bottom left

I can see the mouse hole Pam, but a "running potato man" has beaten me I'm afraid. All I can see in the bottom right is a stumpy wizard in a pointy hat with a very short right arm. Smile

  • Gay Head Lighthouse

Lead image for me too, it has a nice balance of composition and tonality that is most pleasing.
The small diagonal of wall, lower left, is a bit intrusive though (to my eye). Fine image nevertheless,

  • A farm in winter

The really nIce flowing curve of the field gives the otherwise repetitive image a good balance.

Nice dreamlike quality to the light. Great capture.

  • Scott's View

Quote:A wonderful view Andy, the sky looks interesting, there's a threat of rain in some of those clouds

It was actually a beautiful sunny day Pam, but clouded over a bit in the afternoon. No sign of rain at all, but a bit hazy . My processing to try and cut through the haze made the cloud cover look a bit more threatening, but dramatic which I quite liked.

  • Right...where shall I put this?

A very strange looking bird. From the thumbnail, I thought it looked like a dog / bird hybrid, some sort of Chimera - the beak resembled a dog snout.
I presume that is some sort of vegetation in it's beak?
    Well captured Pam Smile

  • In Case the Sun Shines

Fabulous, timeless elegance. Great composition, the twin diagonal of steering column and brolly holder offset by the partial circle of the rear wheel. I love it.

  • Materials of war

Good grief Moira, a really sobering image. Horrifying that these implements of war are still killing people 100 years later.
Ironically, viewed on the day the USA announced they are not implementing a ban on older models of cluster bombs that was due to come into effect in 2019 (quite apart from their refusal to sign the 2010 global cluster bomb ban treaty) ....
