Gone Fishing

By Diana
Model: Phoebe Battye

An idea I had in my mind for a while, not quite sure it has worked, I know the sea is rolling off your screen, but I liked it this way Smile They are real fishes in her handbag (unharmed of course)

Shot in the daylight, not my strongest point I know, tried some other PP techs, not sure which now, bit of a jamboree to be honest, so comments are always welcome

this was one of the images I managed to recover from a damaged card so only a tiff and not much to work on (no excuse I know)

I like it very much.

Might be nice to try a less obvious presentation as well.

love the grunge lol, I did think about cropping out the pier, maybe I should have done so, but for me it just placed it

thanks for taking the time to mod, much appreciated

What you should've done was throw her into the water then take the shot - she'd look like she'd caught the fish herself then !
With her hair wet as it is, that seems to be the suggestion anyway.

Apart from that, a very unusual and interesting shot

throw her in ? I am not that cruel but an intuitive supposition Wink

she was in the water, this was her walking out of it, I lost a lot of images this day and only some I recovered this was one of them

I really like the processing it really jumps out and the un horizontal horizon adds to to the impact. The lighting is spot on, cracking shot

Now I love this, absolutely totally different and what I expect from you. The whole concept works and the angles help to make it such a innovative image. Stunning me lady

Great idea ++, but a bit less space at the top and a bit more at the bottom would have been better. Like the crop that works like this but your post processing colours etc are great.

What I meant was more"walk by" than the rather obvious pose. !

Interesting photo. I just wonder why she is holding the bag with fish as if she is showing it to some one. should she not have held the bag as if she was strolling with it and thus with the fish.
it is dificult to see the fish in this photo but you can clearly see the water in the bag.

Like this alot Diana. Personally i would like to see a lil less crop, maybe to see the full shadow, and have you model more to the right. However, thats only 'my' opinion, and i still really like it!

One of your very best Diana, I agree with Hanners I could see this one gracing a glossy magazine or on a billboard in a city centre
