  • Stinkhorn mushroom by Angi_Wallace

Quote:Used nearly 2000 years ago by the Romans as a love potion to improve potency. I canít imagine why 😀😀 When these Ďgo overí they form a mass of stinking gunge. They used to grow near our farmhouse in Scotland years ago, same place every year. Nice to see them when fresh like this one.

They must have been mad as they stink from a distance!

  • When life gives you lemons by Angi_Wallace

Quote:Impressive still-life with clever and experienced lighting!
Guess the window pattern on the wall is from a gobo...
Appealing and very well done! Congrats and cheers!

thank you, yes, a home made gobo - not the easiest lighting set up in a small room full of furniture, props and photography, and craft equipment Smile

  • Autumnal woods by Angi_Wallace

    Quote:Very well exposed Angi.
Do I detect a drop of an arty/painterly effect here ?

Thanks, yes I used Topaz a few times, reducing opacity of layers to give a painterly effect

  • Suburban Peppery Roundhead by Blundez

Could be blue round head or verdigris agaric, photographing gills and a cross section helps Smile

  • Brittlegill/russula by Angi_Wallace

Quote:You do these so well, bringing out all their beauty.
I do find the slanting lines to the right of the mushroom disturbs the flow of the backgtound.

Thanks, I think that must have been grass

Ive only just really discovered your portfolio after coming back for a 2nd browse and I like what I see.
You seem to see art in things that most people dont and that is part of what I like. But I also like your approach, with much of your work being quite dark and the application of photoshop in so many diferent ways. Very much the type of art and photpography I enjoy.

What a thoroughly enjoyable portfolio you have. You say you feel you have lost your "oomph", but its not noticeable in your images - they are of very high quality. Personally I think your portfolio is one of the finest wildlife folios on here. Hoping you find your oomph again so you can enjoy togging again. Angi

Some wonderful landscape images you have here. I'm so glad you share them as I can no longer get up in the hills due to health problems so its a treat to see some of the places I used to frequent.

I have thoroughly enjoyed browsing the first few pages of your portfolio, you have some great work here. I do like your choices of angles/POV, many of them more original than most landscape shots we see on here. I also like your use of HDR, much kinder on the eye than my current overuse. Sorry I have not commented on your pics individually as I have not time this morning, but I will be back to check out the rest of your images.
