it was never the treatment , although in v4 , the faces in the stones are better.

V1 is superb . You gotta step back and realise how this is such a conversation between the stones and their timeless place , the clouds and mist just add so much. We all see differently.

Hi Angi. I haven't looked at my images from that afternoon at Castlerigg, but if I can get something as well composed and processed as your v1, I'll be very pleased. I like it a lot. (In fact I won't get such a good composition, because I went up there very specifically to get a panoramic shot, and foolishly never even moved around to try other compositions. I'm quite sure your image is much better than any I will produce from the afternoon.)
