Firstly I'd like to say thank u for all ur comments. This photo was spontaneous as she was actually looking out the kitchen window, unfortunately my lounge window and kitchen window are right opposite each other so unless I close the curtains, I can't stop the light shining, and if I had taken the time to do that I would have lost the shot as my wheelchair makes a noise when I move and she layed down just after I'd taken the photo. As I took the photo on my phone, my mobile Lightroom app doesn't have a clone tool so I was unable to get rid of the pictures on the wall. I did what I could with what I had available at the time.
As for spacing in front, nobody had ever mentioned that before, probably cause it normally happens naturally, but I was about to transfer onto the sofa so had parked me chair close like normal when this shot suddenly presented itself so just took the liberty of taking it.

Thank u for your comments & critique, I have tried your techniques and I managed to get most of the lead out but I'm finding the part near her fur difficult as every time I try cloning part of the fur it looks really fake, what is the best part of her fur to clone as she is naturally beige colour under her chin?
Mrswoolybill did a great job on ur edit of that part of her fur and getting rid of the lead, how did u do that please?

I do like the result it seems to brighten the image
I always shoot my pictures in raw and jpeg as that was the setting recommended to me in order to edit the raw files.

Thank you Ddolfelin, is there anything that could be done to improve the image?

Thank you to everyone for your constructive critique, I have used the critique once before on one of the first photos I posted but kept forgetting to click on it on other photos. I did not realise my camera was in manual mode and so have now changed it. I still need lots of practice to get my settings right, which with my memory could take awhile, so have taken notes from each comment.

  • My daughter 2nd portrait

Thank u for everyone's comments and modifications. My daughter did like the photos I did. As to ur comment Willie I'm afraid I'm still away in hospital as that was a photo I did a while ago and a flash was used due to the photos being taken during the evening at home. But I do appreciate all the comments as it helps me to learn more. Robert I would be grateful if I could let me know exactly how I did that mod as I had only turned it black & white & then made sure all the background was covered as u cld see a bit of the radiator before but I'm not quite experienced enough to know how to get rid of the shine without her having to put powder on her face.
