  • Flow

The vertical format works really well here and (as usual Smile) the detail is excellent. I like the way you've composed this and particularly the placement of the rock on the horizon. V1 gets my vote for the extra contrast, although they're both cracking images.

  • Twilight Zone

A terrific image Pooch - I really like your choice of lens and the way you've processed it. Glad to see that Joy is still manning the shop - good on her.

  • Rising Star

Lovely detail and texture in this one Walter - the soft, even lighting suits it perfectly and I like the rather decadent posture the starfish has adopted (looks as though it may be propping itself up a bit after one or two drinks Smile). I've re-read your first sentence a few times but can't see anything wrong with the syntax, despite being a Brit!

  • Star Fish

Lovely colour and detail Walter - I don't think I've ever seen a life starfish, only the dried-out long-dead ones, so thanks for the glimpse into their natural habitat Smile

  • Looooong jump !

Blimey Nick, I'm surprised there wasn't a massive pile-up with all those people doing the long jump at once Smile I really like the way you've put this together as it's simple but very effective and conveys the action extremely well. Hope you had a good day at the Games.

  • Eynesford Poppies

An excellent image Derek - I especially like the way the backlighting has picked out the hairs on the stems.

  • Cod a la Mode?

These Portlanders seem pretty keen on their grub, although I'm not sure about some of their choices - don't think that fish and chip ice cream is going to topple good old vanilla (or Cherry Garcia, for that matter Smile) Nicely observed and well processed and presented, as always, Walter.

  • A wonderful portfolio full of beautiful, original and interesting images. I really like the way you've presented and processed these, especially those with the textured, antiqued feel to them. Very classy work.
    Kind regards,

  • A wonderfully varied and creative portfolio full of inspiring images.
  • A really interesting and varied portfolio Walter - and I've enjoyed your humorous remarks too Smile
Judging by the weather, it has to be a Californian latte surely?
