I love the composition but I think it would work better as a mono. I say that because I find the yellow areas on the tree and fence somewhat distracting and inharmonius. Of course I can see I'm in the minority and it's clearly a very skillful and effective minimalist composition however in mono I think it would seem truly 'fine art'! Smile

B&W works well - but I do prefer colour here. The yellow tones are echoed in a hint of yellow in the upper sky, that creates harmony for me.

I looked at this a little while ago and agreed with Al about the mono, your addition of monochrome shows that it works but I liked the original and the yellow adds a glow that the monochrome cannot.
Sometimes colour can add something special to a simple image.

Two very different photographs, Ann.
I would have no hesitation in using V1 for an annual calendar: the composition is excellent, the subtle lighting proves that winter days can be sunny.
But V2 is the classic.

V1 brings the landscape to life, although it does make a handsome mono. I like the simple composition, quiet and serene.

Your processing has enhanced that.
