365 Day 115 - Central Market, Valrncia

When we set out for Valencia this morning we had planned to spend a couple of hours in the old town then stop off at the Centre for Arts and Science on the way back to the ship. We clearly hadn't done our homework well enough because this proved to be an impossibility as there is just so much to see, or at least photograph in Valencia. It is an architectural photographers paradise and a real mix of styles. One of the places I really liked and could have stayed a lot longer was the Central Market, a huge octagonal building and apparently the larges market building in Europe, full of gorgeous fresh produce as well as nuts, olives, bread etc. etc.

The interior of the building will find its way into my portfolio in due course but for now, these railings and tiles decorate the outside of the old market building. As for the arts and science centre, that will need to wait for another trip.
