365 Day 129 - Graceful and delicate?

Graceful and/or delicate is the theme for one of your camera club competitions next season so I thought I would see what I could do with some Aquilegia flowers that are currently running a mock in my garden. I have planted these flowers so often but they cross fertilise and re-seed, so although they come up in abundance the following year, you never know what they are going to look like and often they lose their delicate trailing tendrils and look more like the old fashioned 'granny's bonnets. It was too windy to attempt to photograph the flowers in situ, so I brought them inside and experimented with different settings, single flowers as well as groups, natural lighting and a bit of added flash. Have I got something for the competition? maybe but I think I'll have another go and bring the stems of the group closer together at the bottom. This image had been exported into Colour Efex pro and had a polarisation filter added.
