365 Day 139 - Old Morris Pickup

Every few weeks I meet a friend for lunch in Burford Garden Centre, which as I have said before is more like a department store with a garden centre attached. We like it because it is half way between where my friend and I live, we have lunch, a good catch up and a browse round the shop. One of the things that always intrigues me is that there are several old classic vehicles in and around the shop which are very creatively used in the displays and today was no exception. This old Morris pickup was full of crockery last time we were there and this time the centre piece of a display of soft furnishings and at the same time promoting an art exhibition. According to a website I found this afternoon, this vehicle was first registered in Wolverhampton sometime shortly after February 1968.

Today I forgot to take my little camera with me so this was taken with my iPhone.

I can remember my dad having a Morris Minor Shooting Brake which was pretty much like this but with a wooden framed back with seats in it. Probably about the same era!
