She was a South African lady who had had cancer some years ago and as a result, lost her left eye and some of her cheek. She was a terrific golfer though and partly put this down to the fact that she had nothing to distract her when she was playing so just kept her eye on the ball. Sadly the cancer returned a couple of years ago and this time she didn't win the battle. Each year on or around the anniversary of her death we hold a charity golf match in memory of Audrey, this year the chosen charity was the James Hopkins Trust, a local charity that supports children and the families of children with life limiting diseases. This is a photograph of the winning team.
