6 Jun 2014 9:56PM Views : 295 Unique : 213Another of my favourite flowers are Alstroemerias, perhaps more commonly known as Peruvian Lillies. one particular group are 'Princess Alstroemerias' all of which are named after a princess. I bought 3 plants a few years ago at the Malvern Spring Show and they are still going strong. I think this one is called Princess Felicia, although like the rose in the previous post, the name tag is long gone! One of the odd things I like about these flowers is that if you look right into the centre, there are what looks like two slanted eyes, formed from where the petals overlap. The eyes, along with the long stamens coming out from the centre make me think of a Venetian mask.
