I have finally cottoned on to the fact that I just change the setting to close up and go in close, but do not use the zoom! This time I was trying to use this facility with flash as the light was starting to fade and the lighting was very harsh and uneven in most of the shots. This is the best of the lot, still a bit harsh but fairly even. More practice needed I think, either that or get out there at a decent time of day to do my experimenting!
