365 Day 18 - Tick tock, tick tock

Our current camera club competition theme is movement and I have to say I struggled with it so though I'd have another go today. Entries were submitted last week so this was just for fun and to see what I could come up with. Another very dull day so what is moving indoors that I could practice on? The long case clock, or at least the pendulum! I needed light and decided this time to go with the standard room light with white balance set to auto and the results in that respect are not too bad. I started with the weights as they were, which was just in front of the pendulum, then wound the clock and took another few shots with the weights higher in the case. What I found though was that the weights took a long time to settle and I wanted them still so that they were sharp and only the pendulum moving so have gone for the first shot I took. When I have more time I will have another go with the weights higher in the case and one higher than the other as I think this will improve the composition. For now though, please excuse the dust!
