6 Jul 2014 9:35PM Views : 273 Unique : 213This time last year we went for a walk in the Forest of Dean, had lunch on the way home and vowed to set a week aside every month in which we would choose a day and repeat the experience. Ever since, in my diary the first week of every month has been 'walk week' although until this week we have not actually walked!
Today however we did. We went to Soudley Ponds in the Forest of Dean and walked around the ponds, up to Blaize Bailey and had a lovely lunch at the Red Hart at Blaisdon on the way home. Walking round Soudley Ponds I spotted this old Yew tree, like so many Yew trees, very old and dead in parts but lovely none the less and perfect, at least in my opinion, for a black and white conversion.
