365 Day 82 - Budding cherry tree

Family stuff today as I had a niece and her partner joining us for lunch and along with our daughter and her family that made 9. I was pretty well organised but my opportunity to go out and take photos slipped away although at one point we joked about a photo of a banoffee pie that hadn't quite gone according to plan, (understatement of the day), but that would have been just too embarrassing! My fall back position is the macro challenge on a Sunday and Black and White challenge on a Wednesday however by the time I got round to the macro challenge this evening I really wasn't able to do it justice as it was after 5 and the light was dwindling.

This weeks challenge is new life in the garden, how much better if I had got my act together earlier! As it is I had to resort to the flash but it does render the background nicely dark. This is a 'Cheals Weeping' cherry, so no fruit from this one. The blossom is stunning when it comes out, which looking at the buds, will not be long.
