365 Day 87 - Beyond the railings
28 Mar 2014 1:48PM Views : 303 Unique : 233After 29 years with the same dentist I have decided its time for a change and fortunately enough, the nearest dentist to me had spaces and today was my first visit.
Westbury on Severn is quite a pretty village sitting as the name suggests on the banks of the River Severn, spoiled a little bit by traffic trundling through on the A48, ignoring the speed limit. As well as a dentist with NHS spaces, there is a nice Church, an ok pub and Westbury Court Gardens which is a National Trust property, very formally laid out and in a Dutch style. Like a lot of people, we are members of the trust but hardly ever go there, despite it being on our doorstep. Today was no different, but the best place to park in Westbury is a long layby just as you enter the village and this layby borders the bottom of the gardens. I took this picture through the railings deliberately to remind me that one day soon, I must pay a visit and explore further.
