365 Day 90 - Ready for 'Forest Schools'

Manic day today and when I went up to school for my 6.30 governors' meeting I had still not taken my photo. My camera went too, now that the evenings are lighter I thought I might spot something in the Churchyard. I didn't have to go any further than the school foyer though and there, all neatly hung up and tidied away were the waterproofs and tools that the children use for 'Forest Schools'. For anyone who doesn't know, Forest Schools is a great outdoor learning initiative where the children learn about the great outdoors, much as we all did when we were younger and allowed to play outside. They can be making willow dens, toasting marshmallows, or any number of things that involve getting dirty. The children love it as do the helpers and I have to say, that even though the first aid box is always at hand, it is very seldom needed.
