65 Day 101 - Wildlife safari with Sam

On Friday (day 101) I went on a 'parent and child' or in my case 'grandparent and child' wildlife safari with wildlife photographer Iain Green, http://www.naturebygreen.com/
who lives in the same village as Sam and his family. I did a workshop with Iain at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland Centre about 18 months ago but this time we were at the Nind nature reserve looking for water voles. There is a huge colony of water voles along the river bank as well as in the reserve and the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust are really working on developing the habitat for water voles in this area. It was a lovely morning and we did see a few water voles munching away on the vegetation on the river bank and although I managed to get a few shots this one of Sam, concentrating hard is my favourite.
I just have to upload one more shot though, this one was taken by Sam of a grass snake he'd spotted. It turned out to be dead, just as well!
